This hardware firewall/router is our most basic and affordable option.  It will support networks of 1-10 machines.  Unless you have a large network, it will be installed in less than an hour.  This package will handle most basic security concerns.  As well as provide good "stable" WiFi.

 

For wireless access, encryption, and a firewall -- this is the option for your network!   Enjoy secure free-ranging connectivity from any point in your vicinity!  These are more industrial than the Linksys and Netgear routers, running a custom Linux distribution, with many enterprise features.  If you are having wireless stability problems, this is your upgrade.

 

This is a custom Linux firewall running Endian Firewall.  It comes with most everything you will want or need to grow into.  Here is a brief list of the big stuff:

  1. IPSec VPN Server, Client / Peer-to-Peer
  2. Intrusion Detection System with reporting
  3. Content Filter, with all the options
  4. Transparent proxy for monitoring surfing
  5. Policy of least privilege enabled by default
